Minnesota Announces Decrease In Positive COVID-19 Cases With No New Deaths Reported Today (Mon.)

(St. Paul, Mn.)– After a record number of positive COVID-19 cases announced Sunday in Minnesota, the Minnesota Department of Health reported just 29 new cases in the state this (Monday) morning bringing the state’s total to 1,650. For the first time in almost three weeks, there were no new deaths reported, keeping the statewide total at 70. So far, 70 of Minnesota’s 87 counties have reported positive tests.

There is still just one case in Jackson County, 6 in Cottonwood County and 38 in Martin County. New cases over the weekend were reported in Nobles and Rock Counties in SW Minnesota.

Statewide, over 38,000 tests have been completed. Total requiring hospitalization is now at 361, with 157 of those still in the hospital. The number in ICU held at 74. 842 patients in Minnesota no longer need to be isolated.
