Okoboji Schools issue Distance Learning Plan for Students in response to Governor’s extension of School Closures

April 08, 2020

(Milford)-In response to Governor Reynolds announcement that schools in Iowa should remain closed through April 30, Okoboji Superintendent Too Abrahamson issued a statement that the Okoboji Schools will continue to remain closed until further notice.   The statement says the closure includes playgrounds, ball fields, and the track/football field complex.

The email statement reads:

“While we are disappointed knowing that it will be several more weeks before we see our students, the safety of our community and state comes first.”

“We are following the State’s educational option of Voluntary Enrichment Opportunities. This is designed to meet student learning needs during school closure. Our focus is to continue to support students by providing age-appropriate learning opportunities, educational resources, or whatever students and families need.”

The email statement lists distance learning plans and links for Elementary, Middle School and High School students.
