(Johnston)- Iowa officials have confirmed more than 100 new cases of COVID-19 in the State as of Tuesday.
Governor Kim Reynolds stated that 102 new cases of coronavirus had been confirmed during her daily press conference on Tuesday morning. The new cases bring the total to 1,048 in Iowa.
Reynolds says a death of an elderly individual in Benton County brings the state’s death toll to 26.
Reynolds added that 46% of deaths in Iowa are among long-term care facility residents.
Officials say 104 Iowans are currently hospitalized with COVID-19.
Reynolds said Tuesday three new counties have reported their first cases of COVID-19 which includes the case in Buena Vista County, as well as in Delaware and Greene Counties.
