(St. Paul)-The number of COVID-19 cases in Minnesota has topped 1,000 as of Tuesday morning.. According to data released this morning by the Minnesota Department of Health, the number of positive cases in Minnesota increased by 83, to 1,086 confirmed cases. The number of deaths also increased by 4 to 34. Four of those have been in Martin County.
There is still just one case in Jackson County, 5 in Cottonwood County and Martin County increased 4 to 34.
Statewide, over 29,000 tests have been completed. Total requiring hospitalization is now at 242, with 120 of those still in the hospital and 64 in ICU. 549 patients in Minnesota no longer need to be isolated.
Governor Tim Walz and his Commissioners will hold their daily press briefing at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon.
