(Spirit Lake)-The Spirit Lake Chamber is reaching out to Members and the Public during the coronavirus crisis.
Nancy Vierkant, Director of Membership and Events says the Chamber is very active on social media. “We do have our weekly newsletter that goes out to all of our members . so we’ve been doing a lot of publishing of events and just different things that the businesses are doing to communicate with our members. From a public standpoint, we have a great facebook page that we also do a lot of posting and sharing of different business activities, or if their hours have changed or maybe they’re offering a different service, to try to get that out to the public. So, if you haven’t followed or liked our facebook page, I would encourage you to do that, as we do post a lot of great local information there.”
She adds that the Chamber has teamed up with the Iowa Great Lakes Chamber on a new facebook page, which is updated frequently. “We’ve got a facebook group with the Iowa Great Lakes Chamber, as well, called Iowa Great Lakes COVID-19 Local Guide. That is an area where businesses are posting what they are offering for public right now, and those things are changing all the time. So, I recommend that you go and visit that page. We’ve also got a spread sheet with business info on there that gives you the name of the business, the phone number and information about that business.”
