Iowa Dept. Of Public Health Reporting 87 New Cases Of COVID-19 As Of Late This (Sat.) Morning

(Des Moines)– The Iowa Department of Public Health announced late this (Sat.) an additional 87 confirmed cases of COVID-19. That brings the total number of positive cases so far in the state to 786 since the outbreak began. 

The department is also reporting three more deaths from the virus, including an older adult aged 61-80 from Linn county; a middle-aged adult 41-60 years-old from Henry county and an older adult, aged 61-80 from Polk county.

The agency says there have been 9,454 negative tests to date, which includes those conducted by the State Hygienic Laboratory and other labs.

Of the positive cases reported today (Sat.), four were from northwest Iowa including an older adult aged 61-80 years from Lyon county, two adults aged 18-40 from Plymouth county, and an adult from Sioux county between 18 and 40 years-old.
