(Des Moines)– The Iowa Department of Public Health today (Thurs.) is reporting an additional 66 positive cases of COVID-19 in the state, bringing the total number of cases to 614 since the outbreak began. One new case was reported today in Clay county. Of the new cases reported today (Thurs.), that was the only one in northwest Iowa.
The agency is also reporting two additional deaths today (Thurs.), both of them older adults, aged 61-80 and both from Linn county.
Iowa DPH is also reporting a total of 8,054 negative tests to date, which includes those conducted by the State Hygienic Lab and other labs.
In Minnesota, the number of positive cases as of today (Thurs.) has grown to 742 with 18 deaths. The total cases requiring hospitalization was at 138, with 75 in hospitals as of today (Thurs.). Of that, 38 were in intensive care units.
