(Estherville)– A traffic stop Friday on Highway 4 one mile north of Estherville resulted in the arrests of two people from Spencer.
The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle around 5:00 pm after noticing it was being driven by a person known to have a suspended driver’s license.
A subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of the driver, 48-year-old Steven McClain of Spencer. A passenger, 21-year-old Brianna Anderson also of Spencer, was arrested as well after she was allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana.
McClain was charged with possession of a controlled substance…methamphetamine…2nd offense, operating while intoxicated…1st offense, and driving with a suspended license.
Anderson was charged with possession of a controlled substance…marijuana…3rd offense.
The Estherville Police Department and a K-9 Unit assisted on the scene.
