(Undated)– The Okoboji and Spirit Lake schools robotics team received some special recognition recently.
The team competed in Lake Superior Regional event March 5th-7th in Duluth. They qualified for the playoffs and were selected 14th overall out of 63 teams.
The local team also won an Industrial Design Award from General Motors. The award is based on several criteria, including an elegant and efficient design as well as performance, reliability and maintainability.
The team has won either the Industrial Design Award or Quality Award the past four out of five years.
