(Spirit Lake)– The driver’s license station at the Dickinson County Treasurer’s Office will be expanding its hours effective March 2nd. Treasurer Kris Rowley says the station will be open until 4:30 pm beginning that day. The new hours will be Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm and from 2:00 until 4:30 pm. Drive tests must be scheduled ahead of time by calling 336-6277.
Rowley adds it’s best to get there before 4:00 pm, however, as some functions, such as applying for a REAL ID, take longer to complete. This coming October 1st is the deadline in which to have the REAL ID, which will be required in order to fly on a commercial airline and to enter government buildings. A passport will also suffice.
