(Des Moines)– The Iowa Alcoholic Beverages Division says the denial of a liquor license for Southside Grill in Spencer is going to stand.
The action affirms a ruling by an Administrative Law Judge who upheld the city of Spencer’s denial of the license. The action was based on what officials say were multiple violations of Iowa Code.
In affirming the Administrative Law Judge’s ruling, the I-A-B-D stated the owner of the business, Chris Burg, failed to comply with the requirements to hold a liquor license and that he failed to convince the Adminstrative Law Judge otherwise.
