(Arnolds Park)-Arnolds Park Amusement Park has announced the latest additions to the Roof Garden Ballroom Concert Series, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
Arnolds Park Amusement Park has announced four upcoming concerts at the Roof Garden Ballroom.
Marketing Director Paul Plumb says the Series will feature a diverse lineup, starting with Quiet Riot on April 25. “We’re real excited about that. We have a lot of folks that ask us about metal bands and how we should bring them to the Park so we thought we’d give it a try. The following show, May 2nd, is the Eli Young Band. They have a few hits already and it’s just going to be a great show for us. We feel that country acts really do well in Northwest Iowa. Then we’ll turn around after that on June 14, we have The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra. It’s been really a tradition, many years along, you know, that’s probably mainly the main groups that played in the original Roof Garden was orchestras, so we’re excited to have The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra playing. They were actually at the original Roof Garden many years ago.”
He notes that The Lettermen will perform on June 19. “A lot of people have fond memories of The Lettermen being in the area, so many hits that they had, it’s just going to be a terrific show and will let people reminisce about years gone by.”
He adds that the Park will be announcing the Live at the Lake Concert Series on Tuesday, March 3.
