(Undated)– Two airports in the region have been awarded grants through the Federal Aviation Administration.
The Estherville Municipal Airport will be getting slightly more than $568,000 to construct a taxiway. $510,570 was awarded to the Storm Lake Municipal Airport to replace runway and taxiway lighting.
287 airports nationwide were awarded funding through the Federal Aviation Administration’s Airport Infrastructure Grant program.
The grant awards were announced Wednesday.
