Clay County Traffic Stop Results In Arrest Of Spencer Man On Multiple Charges

(Spencer)– A traffic stop Tuesday night in the 1600 mile of 400th Street in Clay county resulted in multiple charges against a Spencer man.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says the driver, Dalton Garrett, was arrested and charged with driving with a revoked license, possession of a controlled substance, 1st offense…marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

As he was being transported to jail, Garrett admitted to a deputy he was in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Once at the jail a Drug Recognition Expert from the Iowa State Patrol assisted in the investigation. Authorities say an additional charge of operating while intoxicated…1st offense…is pending test results.
