Family Fest Coming Up February 28th In Spencer

February 10, 2026

(Spencer)– Family Fest is making a return to the Clay County Regional Events Center. Brent Burns, Partnerships Director for the Clay County Fair and Regional Events Center tells KUOO news there will once again be a lot for everyone to see and do at February 28th event…

“Spencer library with reading, Spencer Family YMCA, Spencer Hospital, Spencer Municipal Utilities brings in the Safety Zone, Kid’s Zone. It’s just an all around great Saturday morning family event.”

Representatives of the Clay County Sheriff’s Office, Spencer Police Department and the Spencer Fire Department will also be at this year’s Family Fest.

In addition to being fun, Burns says Family Fest is also intended as a learning event…

“From the perspective of the Clay County Fair, we consider ourselves, one of our primary things we consider ourselves an education organization through our affiliations with 4-H and the livestock programs, so this is kind of an offshoot of that. Family Fest has always been kind of an offshoot of that, so yeah, as I like to say it’s fun learning.”

He adds there are still some sponsorship opportunities available…

“The sponsorships opportunity is $500 or $750. That gives you recognition on our sponsor posters, on the marketing that we do. If your target market involves families with young children, this is a great way to attach your name to this event.”

Tiny Town, sponsored by Community State Bank, will also be back this year, along with some furry friends…

“The folks in Spencer that have rabbits are very passionate about their rabbits and they just love showing them off to the kidos.”

Sponsorship and vendor information is available by contacting Stacey Meyer, Event Services Director, at 712-580-3000 or by emailing events@claycountyfair.com.

The 15th Annual Family Fest will be held Saturday, February 28th, from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm in the arena at the Clay County Regional Events Center and is free of charge to attend.
