(Estherville)– A storm sewer project is in the works in Estherville. The city council last week set March 2nd as the date for a public hearing on the matter.
City Administrator Penny Clayton says it would involve upsizing some infrastructure in the area of North 3rd Street and 1st Avenue North to address ongoing drainage issues in that area…
“It would be about 1,030 linear feet of a combination of 48, primarily 48, but some 36 and 30 inch RCP storm sewer pipe. We do have to add two manholes and two new intakes and then remove about 1,333 square yards of pavement, and then we’ll put back about 1,510 square yards of concrete.”
A bidletting on the project is set for February 24th. The work would be done in the upcoming construction season.
