(Jackson, Mn.)– The Jackson County Board of Commissioners Tuesday approved the hiring of Ryan Krosch as County Administrator. The vote was 4 to 1 with Commissioner Phil Nasby dissenting…
“I’m not that excited about what’s going to be the right decision. I still have reservations.”
Krosch most recently served as the County Administrator for Nicollet County, where he was employed for over eight years. Prior to that, he served as County Administrator for nearly seven years in Yellow Medicine County. He has also served as the Community & Economic Development Director for the Upper Minnesota Valley Regional Development Commission and as the Community Development Planner for the Mid-Minnesota Development Commission. Krosch holds a bachelor’s degree in Local and Urban Planning and will begin his new position in Jackson county June 7th.
Jackson County Commissioners also Tuesday passed a resolution repealing a mask wearing requirement in county managed buildings, effective immediately. Those who are not vaccinated or partially vaccinated are encouraged to follow MN Department of Health and CDC guidelines. County Commissioner James Eigenberg says people can still wear masks…
“I think it’s important here to note that if there’s somebody that wants to wear a mask they may do so and should be respected for it because, you know, some people maybe can’t get a shot or don’t want to get a shot yet but they want to protect. I don’t think the person should be made fun of or discriminated against.”
This resolution returns all county offices to normal established working hours and authorizes all signage related to the wearing of masks in county buildings be removed. Department heads will still be able to direct employees that are sick to go home and follow CDC recommendations about when they can return to work.
