(Des Moines)– A man who represents several northwest Iowa counties in the state legislature announced today (Tues.) he won’t seek another term in the House.
State Representative Dan Huseman of Aurelia says he won’t seek re-election in 2020 and will retire from the House at the end of his current term.
Huseman represents House District three, which includes Cherokee and O’Brien counties along with portions of Plymouth and Sioux counties.
Huseman was first elected to the House in 1994 and is the longest serving member of the House Republican caucus. He currently serves as an Assistant Majority Leader in the Iowa House.
