(Arnolds Park)– The Okoboji Foundation is now accepting applications for its 2020 grant cycle. Applications can be found under the grants tab at www.okobojifoundation.org. The application deadline is March 1st, 2020.
There are two different grant divisions. They include Community Needs Grants with requests ranging from $500 to $24,999 and Leadership Grants, with requests of $25,000 or more. Community Needs grant applications are reviewed by Youth in Philanthropy and the adult Grant Committee. Leadership Grant applications are reviewed by the adult Grant Committee and presented by ballot to Okoboji Foundation investors. The committee may request a short presentation by nonprofits requesting larger Leadership Grants.
The Okoboji Foundation has been in existence since 1988. Since that time it has awarded nearly $3.8 million in grants for various vital capital projects in the Iowa Great Lakes.
