(Spirit Lake)– The American Red Cross will be holding a series of blood drives throughout the region over the next few weeks.
Sue Thesenga of the Red Cross says blood donations are especially needed as we head into the busy holiday season…
“Actually the need is constant. We need blood donations all year long. But particularly during the holiday season because it’s a busy time of year and people forget to blood donation on their to do list. So this year we’re thanking people that come out and donate blood between November 18 and December 18th with a five dollar Amazon gift card.”
Red Cross blood drives are scheduled for tomorrow (Tues.) from 1:00 until 6:00 pm at the American Legion in Ringsted; Thursday from 12 Noon until 5:00 pm at the Spirit Lake Campus of Iowa Lakes Community College; and Monday and Tuesday, December 2nd and 3rd, from 1:00 until 7:00 pm at Hope Reformed Church in Spencer.
