(Spirit Lake)– An egg processing plant in west central Minnesota that’s owned and operated by Spirit Lake-based Rembrandt Foods is closing. 52 people will be left without a job once the plant in Renville, Minnesota ceases operations.
A notice published today (Wed.) by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development says layoffs are scheduled to begin January 13th. It didn’t say why the company is taking the action.
Rembrandt Foods produces egg-based products in liquid, frozen, refrigerated and dried forms.
