(Spencer)– A 17-year-old escaped injury in a single vehicle crash last week in Clay county.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called shortly after 1:00 pm November 5th to a report of a vehicle on its top at the intersection of 290th Avenue and 440th Street in Clay county. Upon arriving a deputy couldn’t find anyone around the vehicle, which had slid off the road and went into a steep ditch where it rolled onto its roof.
The driver was later located at a job site near the scene of the crash.
The teen, from Fulda, Minnesota, was cited for no valid driver’s license, failure to provide financial responsibility…accident related, and failure to maintain control.
Damage to the 1995 Chevrolet Astro van was estimated at $4,000.
