(Okoboji)-It’s “Music after Hours” at the Pearson Lakes Art Center on Thursday, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Pearson Lakes Art Center is starting a new program called Music After Hours on the 2nd Thursday of the month.
Performing Arts Director Rachelle Fratzke explains. “It’s to try and get a little more exposure for some of the local artists in town and around the area, and we’re starting that this month. We will take a break in January and February, and then start back up again in March.”
She adds that a concert this week will feature Abbey Soul: A Beatles Tribute: “They’re all excellent musicians. Charlie (Leissler), of course, plays a lot in the area during the summer months, but he has a band in Cherokee and they’re coming over to do their Abbey Soul, which is a Beatles tribute. I’ve heard them, they’re excellent, and I’m anxious to share them with everyone.”
The show will start at 7:30 Thursday night at the Pearson Lakes Art Center. Tickets are $15.
