(Okoboji)– A lakes area marina once again this year is mounting a toy drive to help make the holidays a little brighter for the less fortunate.
Parks Marina is teaming up with Upper Des Moines Opportunity for the 11th year of the “Boatloads of Toys”. Over it’s history, the program has donated more than $31,000 in toys and clothing that have been distributed by UDMO.
Residents are asked to bring an unwrapped new toy or new articles of clothing to Parks Marina, West Boutique at Okoboji Boat Works and Palm at the Park in the Central Emporium. There’s a special demand this year for winter coats, snow pants, hats, gloves and boots for any age.
Parks Marina and Okoboji Boat Works are also offering a 20% shopping spree at all of its locations to those who donate.
