(Arnolds Park)– It may still seem a long way off, but the countdown is on for the upcoming University of Okoboji Winter Games. Kiley Zankowski of the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce says registration for some of the events will be getting underway very soon…
“We want to make sure people are marking their calendars with the dates of January 23rd-26th; they’re calling up their friends, booking their hotels, and they can actually start registering for different tournaments starting on November 1st, and we’ll also have the official University of Okoboji Winter Games gear available on line and in stores starting November 5th.”
Zankowski says they’re also still taking ideas for some new events…
“We have a few new events that we’re currently working on but we’re always open to adding new events. So if you have any new event ideas or information you want to share with us you can either give us a call at (712) 332-2107 or give any of us an email or stop in to the Chamber office.”
This marks the 40th year for Winter Games and Zankowski says they’re working on some special things to mark the milestone, but she wouldn’t elaborate as to what those might be.
