(Ames)– The Iowa Department of Transportation is out with its 2019-2020 map for bicyclists.
D.O.T officials say the updated version shows new paved shoulders and recreational trails completed since the last version of the map came out. They say it also includes bike-friendly routes by identifying bike trails and traffic levels on all paved roads, along with insets of the state’s largest cities. A section of the map also explains the rights and responsibilities of bicyclists as well as rules of the road.
The map is available at D.O.T driver’s license stations, County Treasurer’s Offices, D.O.T district offices, welcome centers and rest areas. It can also be found at https://iowadot.gov/iowabikes
