(Okoboji)-The Manhattan Short Film Festival returns to the Pearson Lakes Art Center Thursday night, KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Pearson Lakes Art Center presents The Manhattan Short Film Festival on Thursday night. The festival is unique in that the final ten selections screen simultaneously across the world during a one week period.
Performing Arts Director Rachelle Fratzke says attendees may vote for Best Film and Best Actor. “The Manhattan Short Film Festival, they’re a group of short films that have been selected to be shown and judged, and so, not only do you see the movies, you get to vote on your favorite movie and on your favorite actor. So, an entertaining evening with a lot of interesting topics of movies. For this whole week they’re being shown internationally in different places. In Iowa, the only places you can see these are in Des Moines and in Davenport and in Okoboji.”
Manhattan Shorts will start at 6:30 Thursday evening. Admission is $10.
