Hy-Vee Joins Other Retailers In Temporarily Pulling Zantac From Store Shelves

(West Des Moines)– Hy-Vee has joined the growing list of retailers that have temporarily pulled Zantac and Topcare products from their store shelves. It stems from a Food and Drug Administration report the products contain a very low level of a substance that could cause cancer.

Hy-Vee says customers who have purchased the products from them can return them for a refund.

Zantac is taken to relieve heartburn. Officials say a number of other heartburn relief products remain available.
