(Estherville)– A woman wanted for stalking was taken into custody this past Saturday by police in Estherville.
The Estherville Police Department says an officer observed the suspect, Emily Bruns, shortly before 1:00 pm. Authorities say Bruns then attempted to evade the officer by running into a residence at 208 1st Avenue North. Estherville police made entry into the residence and Bruns was taken into custody.
Police say the stalking charge stems from an incident that was reported to them on September 16th of this year in which Bruns allegedly made hundreds of phone calls between June and September to the complainant and the complainant’s family threatening them with harm.
In addition to stalking, Bruns was additionally charged with interference with official acts.
She was being held on a $5,000 cash bond.
