(Emmetsburg)– Two Emmetsburg men were arrested Wednesday in connection with an ongoing criminal investigation by the Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say 33-year-old Scott Cupples was charged with delivery of a controlled substance…greater than 5 grams of methamphetamine; ongoing criminal conduct; and failure to affix a drug tax stamp. Cupples was being held on a $25,000 cash or surety bond.
Also arrested was 32-year-old Timothy Ford. He was charged with delivery of a controlled substance…greater than 5 grams of methamphetamine, and conspiracy to commit a non-forcible felony. Bond was set at $25,000 cash or surety.
Authorities say that during the execution of the arrest warrants, Ford was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance…methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Emmetsburg Police Department and the Iowa Great Lakes Drug Task Force.
