(Storm Lake)– Buena Vista University has been awarded a one million dollar scholarship by an anonymous donor to be used for scholarships.
Kevin McIntyre, Vice President of Enrollment at BVU, says the scholarships will be awarded in $5,000 increments to 15 students a year over four years for a total scholarship of $20,000 each.
He says the donor wanted the scholarships awarded to students in 19 northwest Iowa counties to help build a pool of workers.
The scholarships will be offered beginning in the fall of 2020 for those who meet qualifications based on income and geographic guidelines.
