(Rock Rapids)– Charges have been filed against an Estherville woman as the result of a head-on crash early Tuesday in Lyon county.
The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office says deputies got a report around 3:22 am of a two-vehicle crash in the 2800 block of Highway 9. Authorities say Tanya Moffitt of Estherville was driving a 2005 Buick LeSabre westbound and Mitchell Janssen of Harrisburg, South Dakota was driving a 2006 Saturn Ion eastbound. Deputies say the vehicle driven by Moffitt crossed the center line and collided head-on with the one driven by Janssen.
No injuries were reported, but both vehicles were totaled.
Moffitt was arrested and booked into jail on four counts of driving with suspended license and failure to yield half of the roadway. Bond was set at $1,500.
