(Washington, D.C.)– Some rural schools in northwest Iowa will share in slightly more than 4.4 million dollars in federal grants.
U-S Senator Chuck Grassley says 161 school districts have been awarded grants through the U-S Department of Education’s Rural Education Achievement Program.
Districts in our area that have been awarded funding include Albert City-Truesdale which will get 31-thousand dollars; slightly more than 20-thousand dollars will go to the Alta Community Schools; Armstrong-Ringsted will get about 33-thousand; 36-thousand dollars was awarded to the Clay Central-Everly district; Graettinger will get 21,500-dollars; Harris-Lake Park will receive 30-thousand; Ruthven-Ayrshire will get 23-thousand dollars; and the Terril school will receive 21-thousand dollars.
