(Everly)– Two northwest Iowa teens have been arrested in connection with recent burglaries in the Everly area.
An investigation by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office has resulted in the arrests of 19-year-old Travis Seimers of Emmetsburg and 18-year-old Treven Howard of Ocheyedan. Both were charged with five counts of third degree burglary…each a class “D” felony.
The charges stem from recent burglaries in the Everly area.
Clay county deputies received a tip from the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office…which resulted in search warrants being executed and the two teens being arrested this week.
Seimers and Howard were initially arrested last week by the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office in connection with some stolen shop tools that were recovered when authorities executed a search warrant on a rural location in Osceola county. Both Siemers and Howard were charged with three counts of burglary in the third degree…class “D” felonies…in connection with that case.
Seimers and Howard were initially booked into the Osceola county jail. They were then taken to Clay county where the court ordered the two teens bound to the state in the amount of 29-thousand dollars. They were then released on their own recognizance.
