(Ashton)– Officials with the Iowa Department of Transportation will be showing off their new maintenance facility near Ashton later this week.
The D-O-T will hold an open house at the new facility just off Highway 60 near Ashton this Wednesday (Aug. 23rd) from 11:00 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. Refreshments will be served and tours of the new facility will be conducted.
The new garage includes 15 bays: 10 for maintenance vehicles, along with two wash bays and three mechanic’s bays, along with an office, meeting and break room space.
The new facility replaces a 1930’s vintage garage in Sheldon.
