(Spencer)– A Spencer teen escaped injury in a single-vehicle rollover last Saturday on 230th Avenue in Clay county.
The Sheriff’s Office says 16-year-old Alex Taylor of Spencer was changing a C.D. in a C.D. player as he was southbound. Authorities say the 1991 Toyota he was driving went off the west shoulder of the road and hit a field approach, becoming airborne. The vehicle landed on its passenger side and flipped onto its top facing north, then rolled over westbound onto its wheels, coming to rest.
Taylor was charged with failure to maintain control.
Five thousand dollars in damage was estimated to the vehicle.
