Three Men Arrested In Milford Egging Incident

(Milford)– Charges have been filed against three Milford men in connection with an incident Wednesday evening in Milford.

Milford police say they started receiving complaints around 6:30 p.m. of a vehicle being driven recklessly and that its occupants were throwing eggs at vehicles in residential areas.

Police stopped the suspect vehicle a short time later just west of Milford on 225th Street.

Upon investigating, police determined the driver, identified as 18-year-old Richard Goyne of Milford, was intoxicated and had been consuming alcohol in the vehicle. Goyne allegedly resisted arrest and had to be subdued with pepper spray. He was charged with assault on a peace officer, interference with official acts, operating while intoxicated…first offense; criminal mischief; open container; minor in possession of alcohol and numerous traffic violations.

Two passengers in the vehicle were also arrested. 18-year-old Matthew Reason of Milford was arrested for open container, minor in possession of alcohol and other charges. He was also wanted on outstanding warrants.

21-year-old Tyler Wolthuis of Milford was also arrested and charged with interference with official acts and supplying alcohol to minors.

All three were booked into the Dickinson county jail.

Milford police were assisted by the Arnolds Park Police Department and the Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities say their investigation is ongoing and more charges may be filed.
