(Spencer)– One person was injured in a single-vehicle accident Wednesday evening in Clay county.
The Sheriff’s Office says 34-year-old Shawn Severson of Norfolk, Nebraska lost control while traveling northbound on County Road M-27. The vehicle left the road, went into the east ditch and struck an embankment. It then rolled onto its side.
A passenger in the vehicle, Jackie Scmillen of Cherokee, was taken by ambulance to the Cherokee hospital with non-incapacitating injuries.
12-thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 2004 Chevrolet.
The mishap took place shortly after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
