Cherokee Co. Rollover Injures SW Mn. Teens

(Cherokee)– A single-vehicle mishap Saturday evening in Cherokee county sent two southwest Minnesota teens to the hospital.

The Iowa State Patrol says 17-year-old Christian Baerg of Bingham Lake, Minnesota was southbound on a Cherokee county road when he lost control. The vehicle went off the road and into the ditch where it vaulted over a driveway and flipped.

A passenger, 16-year-old Taylor Chapman of Windom, was ejected from the vehicle.

Baerg and Chapman were taken by ambulance to the Cherokee hospital where they were treated and released.

The 1999 Oldsmobile Baerg was driving was totaled.

The mishap took place shortly after 6:00 p.m.

The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.
