(Spencer)– Officials with the Clay County Community Foundation say they expect to have another 50-thousand dollars or so available in their next round of grant awards.
Spokesperson Jane Nolan Goeken says they’re taking applications for the second round of funding now until January 15th, 2007.
Goeken says an informational meeting for those interested in applying will be held Tuesday, October 12th at 7:00 p.m. in the council chambers at Spencer City Hall.
The Clay County Community Foundation awards grants to various non-profit organizations for specific projects designed to meet a certain need in the community. Funding is made possible by the Iowa Legislature, gambling proceeds and local donors.
Grant applications are available at the Clay County Extension Office, Clay County Auditor’s Office, or at any library or city hall in Clay county.
