(Estherville)– Voters in the Estherville-Lincoln-Central School District head to the polls December 5th to decide the fate of an 8.7 million dollar bond issue to build a new middle school.
The school board set the date for the special election Monday after receiving a petition with 349 signatures on it calling for the vote. Only 32 signatures were required.
The facilities steering committee initially came up with the recommendation for a new middle school after months of meetings.
It’s also recommending improvements to Demoney Elementary, Roosevelt North and to demolish the “Maniece” building at the high school.
