8 Vehicle Crash Sends Two Teens To Hospital

(Worthington, Mn.)– A chain-reaction crash Thursday evening involving eight vehicles near Worthington sent two teens to the hospital with minor injuries.

The Minnesota State Patrol says it involved vehicles driven by 16-year-old Kyle Vaske of Wilmont, 17-year-old Matthew Tripp, 16-year-old Kyle Stock, 16-year-old Thomas Mammen, 16-year-old Joseph Ahrens, 16-year-old Corey Steffl, 17-year-old Dudley Quentin and 16-year-old Brandon Schroeder…all of Worthington.

Ahrens and Schroeder were taken to Worthington Regional Hospital where they were treated and released. No other injuries were reported.

Minor damage was reported to a 2005 Ford Explorer driven by Vaske; a 1996 Nissan Sentra driven by Tripp, a 1993 Buick Regal driven by Stock, a 1987 Dodge Ram pickup driven by Mammen, a 1996 Olds Cierra driven by Dudley and a 1989 Olds Cutlas driven by Schroeder all sustained moderate damage. Severe damage was reported to a 1989 GMC pickup driven by Ahrens and to a 1994 Ford Ranger pickup driven by Steffl.

The mishap took place shortly after 8:00 p.m. near the Highway 59/60 divide.

No other information was being immediately released.
