(Okoboji)– An organization that provides funding to 14 different non-profit groups in Dickinson county is once again asking for your help.
Curt Johnson, Chairman of the Okoboji and Spirit Lake Good Neighbor Fund, says October has been declared “Good Neighbor Month”. He says their fundraising has officially gotten started with the goal of raising 77-thousand dollars.
Johnson says letters were mailed last week to residents in Spirit Lake and Okoboji informing them of the campaign and asking them to donate.
Johnson says their main emphasis is on getting people to donate during October, but he says they’ll continue accepting donations through the end of the year.
