November 22, 2014

(Milford)– A two-vehicle collision this (Wednesday) morning at the corner of 10th Street and Highway 71 in Milford sent one person to the hospital.

Milford Police Chief Vern Flack says 65-year-old Norm Nattress of Milford had stopped for a red light and was attempting to make a right-hand turn off 10th Street onto Highway 71 when he turned into the path of a vehicle driven by 60-year-old Mike Dougherty of Arnolds Park who was southbound on the highway.

Nattress was taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare complaining of a possible shoulder injury. No injuries were reported to Dougherty.

Four thousand dollars in damage was estimated to a 1993 Ford Ranger pickup driven by Nattress. A Buick Regal driven by Dougherty sustained an estimated two thousand dollars in damage. Both vehicles had to be towed from the scene.
