Rollover Seriously Injures Windom, Mn. Man

(Windom, Mn.)– A single-vehicle rollover early Sunday in southwest Minnesota sent one person to the hospital.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 21-year-old Manuel Sanchez of Windom was eastbound on Highway 60 when the 2006 Dodge Ram pickup he was driving left the road on the right side and hit the shoulder. Authorities say Sanchez over-corrected, causing the vehicle to slide sideways across the highway, where it rolled.

Sanchez was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was taken by ambulance to the Windom hospital and was airlifted to Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls with two broken legs and other injuries.

The pickup Sanchez was driving was totaled.

The mishap took place around 4:30 a.m.
