Traffic Stop Results In Drug Charge

November 22, 2014 Steve Schwaller

(Spencer)– A weekend traffic stop has resulted in charges against a Rolfe woman.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Amanda Aspholm around 2:00 a.m. Sunday for a traffic violation. A sobriety test indicated Aspholm had been drinking alcohol. She was arrested for allegedly operating while intoxicated.

A subsequent search of the vehicle turned up a baggie containing a substance alleged to be methamphetamine. Aspholm was also charged with possession of a controlled substance…methamphetamine.

She was booked into the Clay county jail pending an appearance before a magistrate.
