Former Employee Of Sibley Chamber Accused Of Stealing Money

(Sibley)– A former employee of the Sibley Chamber of Commerce is charged for allegedly stealing money from the organization.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office says 24-year-old Chrissi Marie Wiersma of Sibley has been charged with two counts of forgery…a class “D” felony; and one count of theft in the second degree…also a class “D” felony.

Wiersma started working for the Sibley Chamber of Commerce in September, 2005. She resigned August 19th of this year.

The maximum sentence for a class “D” felony is no more than five years in prison and a fine of atleast 750-dollars, but no more than 7,500-dollars.
