(Spirit Lake)– An event synonymous with Halloween in the Iowa Great Lakes that at one time drew hundreds of kids won’t be held this year.
Theresa Grosvenor of the Haunted Hallway committee says a lack of sponsors and money have resulted in this year’s event being scrapped. She says typically by this time they have 18 to 20 doors sponsored. She says only four businesses had stepped forward as of Monday.
Grosvenor says they’ll re-evaluate the event next year.
This would have been the tenth anniversary of the Haunted Hallway at Village West. It would have been held this coming Saturday, October 28th.
