(Pocahontas)– Charges have been filed against three men in connection with the theft of a vehicle Friday in Pocahontas county.
The Pocahontas County Sheriff’s Office says it received a report early Friday of a vehicle on fire north of Gilmore City. Upon arriving deputies found a 1993 GMC Blazer burning in a ditch. The vehicle had been reported stolen from a Pocahontas residence.
Upon investigating, authorities arrested 22-year-old Teddy Pike who was charged with operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent and driving while suspended. He was booked into the Pocahontas county jail on bond of 7,150-dollars.
Also arrested was 20-year-old David Dayton. He was charged with burglary of a motor vehicle and second offense public intoxication. Dayton was booked into the Pocahontas county jail on bond of 8,450-dollars.
A third man, 18-year-old Jerry Schoon, was also charged with burglary of a motor vehicle. He was booked into jail on bond of 6,500-dollars.
All three men are from Pocahontas.
