(Spirit Lake)– Employees of Brown Medical Industries in Spirit Lake spent Monday’s Martin Luther King, Junior holiday working on various community projects.
The company’s 35 employees divided into four teams that put together care packages for soldiers in Iraq; presented a program honoring Doctor King with students at Forest Ridge in Gruver; worked at the YMCA; and packaged food for the “Kids Against Hunger” organization.
It’s become a tradition for the company’s employees to assist community projects during the Martin Luther King, Junior Holiday.
Brown Medical Industries President and CEO Ivan Brown says it’s only fitting, in that making a difference is what Martin Luther King, Junior was all about.
